The Aromatic Rice varieties in our state of Chhattisgarh are very short, fine grained and highly scented. Chhattisgarh has traditionally been known as the ‘Bowl of Scented Rice in India’, particularly due to Jeeraphool and Vishnubhog varieties of aromatic rice. Except in grain length, these small grain aromatic rices are better than Basmati rice. The Aromatic Rices are cleaned and sorted in modern machinery.
